Pink Moderator gal. Bakunin Nomads. Infinity The Game

…and another miniature painted. I left Bali behind me – right now I’m on Koh Chang in Thailand and my next travelling painting station’s product is Moderator Girl from Nomads Bakunin, Infinity The Game (with combi rifle and lollipop…ekh…marker). Below I give you my thoughts about the miniature and describe a bit how exactly I paint it and what paints I used. Like I mentioned the last time – I brought many girls miniatures with me to Asia. Especially my Infinity selection includes plenty of girls to paint – this exact Moderator, Reverend Custodier, Reverend Moira, Zero… quite few…Infinity offers plenty of great detailed, fragile women models to paint – these are so entirely different than the minis I used to paint most of the time – Games Workshop offers bulky, big, even huuuge models. Even Sisters of Battle or Daemonettes of Slaanesh have bigger bodies than this skinny girl… When I started to paint Infinity models, I needed to made the transition in my head – painting GW is relatively easy, even detailed minis. …

Infinity The Game. Prowler from Nomads, Bakunin

Along with my growing Malifaux Neverborn faction I’m trying to paint some base starting army for Infinity the Game – Nomads Bakunin Jurisdictional Command. As I already have enough models to play some tutorial basic game of Malifaux, when it comes to Infinity still I lack at least 6. And, well to be completely honest, I need a miracle to paint all six in exact two weeks. Almost impossible. 21th October I’m off to Australia and I’ll be away for around 6 months wandering around Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and other countries. …and that’s sucks a little. I was looking forward the game of Infinity. I heard so many positive opinions about this game. It’s complicity and dynamisms, unique rules and fast games. I mean, I could play the game with unpainted minis, but I made my inner resolution – no games with unpainted models. I was mentioning about this few time before – this is important for me. Painted miniatures make the game way more cooler and it gives me more fun. I don’t …

Progress on my Infinity Bakunin army – Moderator Gal

As I promised to myself – my work on Infinity The Game project continues. I made an agreement with my friend Jarek – that we will play Infinity at least one time before I leave Poland. Mine Bakunin Nomads against his Aleph. Jarek is perfect opponent for me –  both of us are absolutely beginners. Maybe he has some more experience, he played few tutorial games – but still he is learning the games, its rules and strategies, so he will be at my reach and the game will be smooth and I’ll handle the events during the game on the tabletop. The best to learn and still get fun from it. So, Jarek, here I come! I think the very first game will be for 200 points. It’s little bit less than usual game of Infinity (300 points), but it will be just fine for the rookie like me. Still enough models to get familiar with schematics of the game and have jolly entertaining game. Maybe even more than one in the same evening. …

Infinity The Game – Bakunin – Moderator with Spitfire

Busy days behind me. I painted a lot… Every day, every evening I was sitting down for few hours at my workbench and painted. Until I was so tired, I could handle the brush any more… This is strange… it’s supposed to be a hobby. Fun. And it should bring me joy. Instead of that – after few hours of constant painting, I felt relief… Oh, Gosh – finally over. I can go to sleep… 😉 Sounds like whining…well.. maybe a bit…but when I the miniature is finished, I feel that excitement again and I’m proud I reached the goal. And of course I’m proud of myself… and then another evening starts and I repeat the process… My latest model is Moderator form Infinity The Game – Nomads Bakunin Jurisdictional Command. Generally in next few weeks I have a plan to concentrate my painting efforts mostly on Infinity (with some breaks for Malifaux). I recently have bought  Infinity Rulebook and after quick study I must say the game system is pretty wicked. First of all, …

My first Infinity miniature – Reverend Custodier from Bakunin

Oh, wow! For last week I was working on my Blood Angels Terminator Squad. This week seemed like eternity, and there’s lots of red, you know:) There was no other option than a break and paint something quite different. Quick glance at my desk – Skaven’s Screaming Bell, Warpfire Fire Thrower, Jezzails, Malifaux’s Lilith with her crew, and one lonely model from Infinity – Reverend Custodier  from Nomads, Bakunin. And the last model was my choice. I thought it will take me around 3-4 hours to complete the model, just like I wrote, quick break from Blood angels. And, of course, there was no surprise, to complete this model I needed much more. Total time of painting: 6 hours (but to be honest I was not sit on it entire time…) . I always tend to underestimate the time for finishing my painting job. The thing with Infinity miniatures is that they are so freaking detailed. Comparing to Games Workshop stuff – they have way much more details. They look so thin and fragile. When …
